Our provincial capital of Bolzano is the perfect destination for a leisurely day of shopping and sightseeing. Stroll through the enchanting old town, shop in the chic boutiques under the time-honoured “Bozner Lauben” arcades, and pay a visit to the world-famous Iceman “Ötzi” at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology.

Culture, history, and shopping combine in perfect harmony in the charming episcopal town of Brixen: take a stroll through the tranquil old town with its impressive Hofburg, visit Brixen Cathedral with its cloister, and browse through the many pretty shops that dot the town centre. At 2,457 metres above sea level, the refuge perches like a castle on the emblematic mountain of South Tyrol, offering an unobstructed view of the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm and surrounded by the Sassolungo/Langkofel, Sassopiatto/Plattkofel, Catinaccio/Rosengarten, and Latemar massifs. As you stroll through the area around our aparthotel, you will come across some charming old farmhouses. These silent witnesses to life in times gone by traditionally consist of three key elements: a barn, a stable, and a small room used for preparing food and making cheese. These old farmhouses preserve our history, and in some of them, you can buy local products. Aside from their historical charm, you’ll be captivated by the fragrance of Alpine herbs, which are still meticulously cultivated and gathered by skilled hands today.
